“Ever Still” is the first painting from my Inner Ocean series. It was created during a period when I felt the need to slow down and focus — not to limit creativity, but to give it direction.

Sometimes life feels loud. There is a lot happening, a lot to think about, a lot to handle. Even when everything looks calm on the outside, internally it can still feel busy. This piece was created for those moments.

The series is inspired by the ocean, not the waves or the surface, but the depth beneath it, how it makes us feel when we connect with it. The waves and storms are what we see externally. Who we truly are exists much deeper than that, calm, steady, and unmoved, even when life feels chaotic.

Whenever I’m near the ocean, especially looking into the distance, I feel a sense of coming home. A feeling of peace and grounded presence. “Ever Still” was created to capture that feeling and to bring it into a space where it can be experienced daily.
