ABOUT THE OCEAN WITHIN II:

“The Ocean Within II” is part of my Inner Ocean series and explores a softer expression of inner balance. While the first piece in this pair leans into structure and compositional steadiness, this work allows for more flow. The blues and turquoise tones are lighter, more open, and the resin carries subtle variations, small details, dots, and organic breaks where the line shifts naturally rather than perfectly contained. Those moments of spontaneity are intentional. The ocean is not perfectly uniform. Even in calm waters, there is variation, depth, and subtle movement. This painting reflects that softer, more fluid state, the kind of calm that feels natural rather than controlled. For me, depth has never meant rigidity. It means allowing movement while remaining grounded. This piece holds that balance between structure and flow. It feels lighter, more breathable, yet still centered. The negative space gives the eye room to rest, while the layered resin and ink create quiet complexity beneath the surface. “The Ocean Within II” works beautifully in refined, minimalist, or architectural interiors where softness and clarity are valued. It pairs seamlessly with “The Ocean Within I,” yet carries its own distinct presence.
